The Ghana -West Africa Healthcare Excellence Awards is a prestigious brand which provides a platform endorsed by West Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the development of the healthcare sector while recognizing the key functions within the industry that promote standards and excellent stewardship. This is the most prestigious healthcare event that showcases on a national scale the prudence, and innovation within healthcare sector of Ghana and West Africa as a whole.

The Awards recognize the industry’s merits and set a benchmark for excellence, whilst rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. The Awards recognizes excellence in the healthcare industry cutting across industry and individual excellence.

We have been created to highlight the vital work done throughout the industry by the experts who ensure that every healthcare service provider, regardless of size, reputation, geographical location or area of expertise, can be confident that the life of people is in safe hands.

The 2025 Awards promote and celebrate the outstanding achievements of organizations and individuals in the healthcare industry. The event will be hosted in Ghana at Marriot Hotel on 29th March, 2025.

HRM Okatakyie Nana Asafo Boakye III (Chairperson)

His Majesty Nana Asafo Boakye III as the new Chairperson of its Board of Directors with effect from May 23, 2020 .Nana brings into the Board over 25 years of expertise in the executive management, accounting, and legal corporate governance practices. He is a lawyer by profession and also holds certification in accounting HRM Okatakyie Nana Asafo Boakye III also is the Monarch and Ruler of Sanzule in the Nzemah Kingdom in Western Ghana where the $7.9 Billion Eni project for their oil and gas production in Ghana is located

Patrick Nana Kena-Asiedu (Director)

Patrick is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He is the CEO/MD of Neakaf Ventures Limited (a company in exports and supply of logistics, agricultural products and general goods).He additionally serves as a Board Chairman of Henken Company Limited and served as a board member of Rosmaros Services Limited, Ghana. He also served as a board member of Big Step Foundation, Netherlands.

Her Excellency Tiguidanke Camara (Director)

Tiguidanke Camara is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tigui Mining Group (TMG) and Camara Diamond & Gold Trading Network (CDGTN) created respectfully in 2012 and 2009. A Guinean native, Mrs. Camara is one of the youngest women mining executives and one of the few women mine owners in Africa. A visionary and proactive businesswoman, she uses her entrepreneur background to pursue her objective of creating a conglomerate of natural resources and innovative technology companies. Ms. Camara has received many leadership nominations and is a three-times award inductee. She has been on the cover of major magazines such as Forbes Afrique, Mining Decisions, Mining CSI and Air Cote d’Ivoire inflight magazine LEMAG.

Simeon Freeman (Director)

Freeman is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Group Inc , one of the largest providers of communication technology products and services in Africa and also committed to innovation , core values and people that drive our professional and personal lives .
